Hi

>Anyway I noticed one of my 580s had a different CPU in it, marked as an
>XC68LC040FE33B 66 / 33 MHz.

GURU says "that the 580 was advertised by Apple as a 66Mhz machine, since
the clock speed was
doubled inside the processor chip, however all the I/O to the processor is
done at 33Mhz"

A lot of the LC's and Quadras seem to use the same chip, so I don't know of
a board that you could put
it in to get 66Mhz.

Hope this helps
Murray
