Yes, the update would fix it.

I presume David Lissiuk's circuit is based in the DS2480B

Reading Temperature SOLVED

Paul,
I'm seeing a similar thing with the DS1822 temp sensor,
based on source code packaged by Christian for the WRT54g,
dated before your fix (source dated 12/19/05). Previously
these devices had worked just fine, and other
(non temperature) devices still are OK.

I note from your CVS log that you made fixes on 12/29 to
ow_ds9097U.c and ow_bus.c to fix this.

I am using a DS9097 chip in a circuit from Dave Lissiuk
(not actually the 9097U) connected to a UART in the WRT54g.

Does updating my ow_ds9097U.c, or ow_bus.c have any chance
of fixing this?

When the dead read does take place I have to completely kill
owserver and restart it to get everything else working again.

It concerns me that an error in one particular read (which
presumably will happen from time to time) can stop the whole
setup from working, requiring manual intervention to get it
going again.
