Dear all, for my project, a Onewire controlled HD44780 display would come in handy. I see owfs supports the reference design from
http://www.maxim-ic.com/appnotes.cfm/appnote_number/3286 As the D7 line is tied to GND in that schematic, it's not possible to use all the characters (and commands) in the 44780's ROM in 8 Bit mode. That brings up my question: Does owfs use the 8 Bit mode of the 44780 in that design, or the 4 Bit mode?
