Thanks for testing Christian, all lines you tested work for me as well, but... when I write to FF.xxxxxx/screen16 owserver dies. This also happens when I 'cat' the contents of a file to line16.0 or line16.1 No matter if I use OWSHELL or FUSE, so it must be something in 'owserver' then? You did explain the weird char at the end though! Thanks for clearing that up. Also noticed that after a day or so the OWDIR command shows me th devices and on the last line "bus error".
Maybe I expected too much and must I take care of not exceeding the limits while scripting and just write to line16.0 and 16.1 seperately. Btw, is there a way to find out what characters a possible to use? For instance the '°C' for degrees Celsius? regards, Ed Christian Magnusson-2 wrote: > > > I haven't been able to reproduce the crash... > # owwrite -s 3001 FF.710200000100/line16.0 test > # echo -n test > /tmp/1wire/FF.710200000100/line16.0 > (Both works on my wrt54g router with whiterussian.) > > # echo test > /tmp/1wire/FF.710200000100/line16.0 > However: This gives me one garbage character since carriage return is > printed... > > /Christian > > -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Shell-scripts-and-OWFS-tf4221305.html#a12623413 Sent from the OWFS - Dev mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
