A D-CIS Lab we are using the HA7Net to interface with some 1-Wire sensors.
Because not all of the sensors are supported at "high level" by HA7Net we
have been writing a Python library to allow us to access additional 1-Wire
devices. The library is free software, of course.

(We haven't opted to use OWFS --- at least not yet. When we started the
project some years ago, OWFS was not usable on the host machine that we were
then using. In the meantime OWFS has developed further and we are using
different hardware so OWFS has become an option for us. If we were starting
the project today we would certainly try to base our design on it.)

Maybe we should work together somehow. Anyone interested?

Another thing: I have been considering switching from the HA7Net to the
LinkHub-E because in our application it would be nice to have four separate
1-Wire network segments---specifically, to be able to tell which 1-Wire
device is on which segment. Anyone have advice to offer?
