Mike, if you're still here, I've gone ahead and reviewed the design
idea, and I now see one interesting issue there. The chosen
opto-isolator does not have a part number assigned to it. It could be
a 4N35 (specific part number chosen from a series.) or it could be any
from that series.

There's also a type of isolator designed for sensing the changes in an
AC circuit, the H11AA1 series. It is rather rare now.

I am looking at using the circuit to monitor the changes on a P/S transformer.
