Hi,

I have a feeling I have missed something really basic here, but
anyway...

I'm on Ubuntu server 10.04. I am trying to get just basic owfs working,
I have downloaded the tar, and unpacked it to /usr/local/src/owfs-2.8p2

I run sudo ./config and it all looks OK but when it finishes it says
under Module config that owfs is disabled. I have tried running
sudo ./config --enable-owfs but that gives me some messages, the end of
which is -

checking if owfs is enabled... yes
checking fuse.h usability... no
checking fuse.h presence... no
checking for fuse.h... no
configure: WARNING:
Can't find fuse.h - Add the search path with --with-fuseinclude
configure: WARNING: Install FUSE-2.2 or later to enable owfs - download
it from http://fuse.sourceforge.net/
configure: error: Configure without --enable-owfs to detect fuse
automatically.

I thought that fuse is now part of the kernel and does not need to be
installed explicitly.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Thanks

Mick
