Is there some documentation somewhere on how to go about getting OWFS installed on Ubuntu? I have some limited Linux experience but it has been a while since I have done anything serious with it.

Current development is under Ubuntu, so that should certainly work. Now that fuse in included in all distros, owfs should work on all of them.

I've also done extensive testing (linux guest and host, XP guest linux host) with VMware -- works fine.
