Hm seems this was introduced in
76efcb94e4cc1657de4b3197da7e137232200813, commited exactly one year ago
(20 Oct 2014).

Before that, you had to build with --enable-owtraffic, and it would
always be outputted.

v2.8p15 is from May 20, 2012... I'd recommend getting a newer owfs
before trying to debug further. 2.9p9 and later has this option, but I'd
go for the latest version.

The output dumps every byte sent/received to/from the adapter, example:

  DEBUG: ow_select.c:(226) Selecting device 28 10 92 BF 03 00 00 9E
TRAFFIC OUT <write> bus=0 (/dev/cua-labdesk)
Byte buffer DS9097U, length=10
--000: E1 55 28 10 92 BF 03 00 00 9E
   <.U(.......>
DEBUG: ow_tcp_read.c:(63) attempt 9 bytes Time: 5.000000 seconds

I have no clue about the state of rpi builds though, the list may help
further!

Regards
Johan
