I am trying to use OpenHAB in Windows 8.1. I need to interface to some OneWire devices. I am told that I need OWSERVER to do this. Can someone please explain how to install OWSERVER (and maybe OWHTTPD) in Windows? I see in various places in the OWFS websites that it _does _or that it _does not _run under Windows... Which is right? The reason that some pages say that it does not run under Windows seems to be that there is no equivalent to FUSE under Windows. But I also see the OWSERVER does not need FUSE. Therefore it should be possible to run OWSERVER under Windows (?).

If it IS possible to do, what do I need to download, and how do I install and configure it? So far I have only found source code. Do I have to rebuild the whole thing, or are there Windows executables somewhere? Whenever I try to rebuild something that I don't fully understand, it always seems a nightmare because there are always some prerequisites that need to be there first, and usually these prerequisites have their own prerequisites, so I end up forever chasing my tail trying to get the environment set up so that the system will build. I'm therefore loath to go down this path unless it really is the only way.

Thanks for your help - Rowan
