Are you quoting original cartiridges?. I have a Dell 1320n Color Printer. From Dell the cartridge are VERY expensive, however a refill kit complete with the chips to tell the cartridge that it is new again is about a quarter of the price.
A check of this site http://www.hottoner.com.au/Cartridge/Epson/Toner/Colour-Laser-Printers/AcuLa ser-C900.html?gclid=COWg7tbhtqACFcctpAoddT3MUA shows that a fill 4 color refil kit is about $130, with individual colors being $37 Likewise the Lexmark C534dn can be refilled for $209 or $59 per color. That is locally in Australia. I am sure if you look oversea's you can find other alternatives. Gripe all you want - but consumables are nowadays a major part of a company's profit line. <shakes head> I thought programmers were taught to think outside the box. Dave
