Yes, a friend of mine is moving his company to Google Apps for email. It's 
mid-conversion at the moment, but he seems impressed so far with the way you 
divert most of the work to Google servers. Beware of the cost per account, as 
it looks like it can accumulate rapidly (despite the fact that Google has 
screwed the world over with advertising and doesn't make enough money that 
way). I've not heard yet if there are any special needs (or costs) for allowing 
popular email clients to work with Google Apps as the server, but my ears are 
open to what's happening.
