That stigma is easily beaten back...you just say the following words:

"Yeah, you're right...oh well... say..who's up for a game of "MONEY
FIGHT!!!"..oh wait..you're out...i guess just us contractors will just have
to play this one without you"..

If they are going to gripe may as well fuel it ;)
