I've been on Google Apps for a number of years now. I've got about 4 domains plus my old gmail account all coming into my GoogleApps account. My only regret is not setting up the main domain as my main email account. Its a very minor complaint (basically means I log in with my primary domain which is not my main email address but hey, more secure right?)
I changed to the paid version recently as I needed some support. It was really fast (reply and resolved in less than an hour or so?) was so impressed I've stayed on the paid version. More space plus support.
