Luckily that won't affect me as a developer. Phew! Actually, I'm in bigger trouble than I expected. I can't even run the setup.exe off the DVD in my Hyper-V machine to install SQL 2012. All I get is: These files can't be opened. Your Internet security settings prevented one of more files from being opened. I can't recall hitting this security wall before. I've been fiddling with security settings for 20 minutes and searching the web, but I only get idiotic suggestions about turning off UAC (and even stupider than that). I can't find any way of adding the D: (DVD) drive to be trusted, and I've never needed to do that before anyway! This is really weird. Believe it or not, default Microsoft security settings have defeated me again (I'll bet they'll be laughing around the water cooler next Friday after reading this post). Oh well, back to futzing around to try and break down the security barriers again, which should take another hour or so in the endless chess game of wits between us and Microsoft security. Any ideas anyone? Greg
