I am pleased to announce that our Health Insurance, Army Health Benefits, paid up on the costs of our birth at home supported by a Midwife in private practice, her insurance status not questioned (of course there isn't any). We are not in the Defence, they opened the cover up to Telstra employees, possibly others I am unaware of. To top it off , they will not be increasing their membership fees. Thumbs up to them. Perhaps we could collect a list of Insurance companies that are happy to continue to pay rebates on midwifery, with or without PII. Megan Resch Birth Matters S.A.
