Denise Hynd did have a complete list of rebates. She is temporarily off
line I think until after the Homebirth Conference. I do know that HBF of
W.A refund $1400. for homebirth and FBC. We haven't had a rise in benefit
and need to put a business case to them to justify the rise in fees over the
last 6 years.. $1600. to $1900. . We even got Medicare to rebate a couple of
cases but this is not usual. Australian United? used to rebate $1600 for
homebirth . I have had rebates from the Army benefits for many years now for
homebirth.
----- Original Message ----- Australian Unity pays up to $620, made up of
$400 for your own midwife's attendance at the delivery in hospital, $30 for
pre-natal and $40 for post-natal visits. The midwife must be in private
