Hi, All,

Rather than send a load of emails, I'm combining all my replies into one whopper.

Thanks to Monica Hook for you very pertinent reply; I'm forwarding it to my student.

Uierzalf is a Dutch product an Australian vegetarian friend I've known since our Amsterdam days (we met in 1977 over there; she now lives close to me in Adelaide after 25 years away...my how we collect stories) anyway, she used it for years thinking it was a salve made (somehow) from onions. She nearly dropped the container when I pointed out that while "ui" is onion, 'uier' is udder! We read the label, and it was in fact a glorified version of Vaseline! I have a lipstick that does wonders for my lips, taste delicious, stays on all day and it must have lasted me at least 15 years. I was lamenting to Rosie (my daughter) its imminent empty container and the fact that they don't seem to make lippy like that any more, and her retort was, 'well, they don't use whale blubber do they'. Stopped me in my tracks. Wonder if contains placenta? I'll bow down to it as I use the last of it. I buried the placenta I shared with my son between three gum trees struggling to grow together. Apparently those trees have thrived.

Maybe we should Senator Knowles email address and give her the facts.
Yep

teenagers...time to enlighten her about Parent Abuse! Naturally, stamp out child abuse, but how come no one talks about stamping out Mother Abuse? Children respond really well to that idea, from a very early age. It's good in supermarkets! I've told kids to stop abusing me, a shopper who has done them no harm. Ought to see the parents' faces when their kids stop running around, whingeing etc.!

Hearty Congratulations and giant hugs, Tania, on the beautiful birth! (Cluck Cluck)
 With love to all,
Aviva
