re: John Campbell
I have not met him in person but have had written correspondence with him regarding the National Caesarean Awareness Day and he was very supportive towards improving consumer relations with the college.
I have also spoken to a few other supportive obs who have backed this notion that he would be a good one to advocate strengthening relations.
I think the point should remain that we should not just strike people off because there is some detail that makes them 'unsuitable'....I know midwives who advocate elective cs cause it is safer! ( I would prefer someone who does routine epis than someone who routine advocates cs)    So lets work with leads for the greater cause and not get picky about who could help in making forward steps....otherwise we are not going to get anywhere!
I was lead to believe that he was involved with one of the first Birth Centres in Melbourne.....

Subject: [ozmidwifery] NMAP & RANZCOG

question for those heavily involved with NMAP...I have read the RANZCOG's response to NMAP and the subsequent responses to that, but was wondering what other moves have been made to discuss NMAP with the college?  Has anyone seen Dr John Campbell in person?  Have the states individually taken NMAP up with the state bodies, how and to what response?
Could anyone shed some light on this for me?
