There is a meeting in Melbourne this week (Thurs) with key people representing NMAP, ACMI and RANZCOG. Let's see what happens.....

Are you having any supportive pollies going too?  Could you give us a full run down as to what happens...what issues are being brought up.  That way each state can do the same and have answers to problems that have already been put forward.  We have some strong pollies here that would be very keen to be involved.  I am sure that Cheryl and the rest of us consumers will be doing the same here in SA.  If the National body goes first then the states should follow and fill in the gaps that were highlighted by the national we can start to crack the nuts of opposition.
I have met quite a number of obs here in SA and some from Vic that say that something like NMAP is what is required as the strain and pressure of all involved is becoming too much and the work load needs to be redistributed.  Now this is a simplistic outlook but it is a weakness that can be used to our advantage.  If we start getting the individuals to start voicing this from within the ranks of opposition then we will get somewhere.

question for those heavily involved with NMAP...I have read the RANZCOG's response to NMAP and the subsequent responses to that, but was wondering what other moves have been made to discuss NMAP with the college?  Has anyone seen Dr John Campbell in person?  Have the states individually taken NMAP up with the state bodies, how and to what response?
Could anyone shed some light on this for me?
