osteoporosis and amenorrhoea exceedingly common in young top class gymnasts. what a world. status symbol to be thin in countries where there's an abundance of food; status symbol to be fat where there's too little food.
Can we put sanity on the curriculum?

Just a suggestion. Claudia Schiffer as a supermodel is a long-time member of the ultra thin. Perhaps it was discovered when she hurt her foot that her bones are brittle from years of too little body fat.  (Studies have shown that women with too little body fat go into a form of menopause; periods stop & bones lose calcium.)  Anyone care to speculate on the effect of trying to go through labour with a brittle pelvis?
