I've worked on a project where we made a backup of the 2003 farm, upgraded it to 2007 and then used the backup/export tools to migrate the sites across to the production 2007 farm. Requires another SharePoint farm, and time and effort to upgrade however.

If you do require that information, you should look at a tool as mentioned, we have used the DocAve tool several times and it works very well, it was also one of the most price competitive options we looked. If you just need to get the documents across without all the metadata, then a custom tool/powershell option might be the way to go. A lot of it all comes down to time as well, if you have the time to DIY it, then it's an option, however, if you don't then an off the shelf product can definitely help. cheers Aaron From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Michael Nemtsev Sent: Tuesday, 2 December 2008 10:06 PM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: Move SharePoint 2003 Document Lists to Moss 2007 Tool has a name "PowerShell + WebDav".
