Our users in the first instance will not have mysite functionality so
this really isn't an option. Will see if I can find a work around.

They do have to have a MySite. It can also take up to 24 hours for it to
be push out to users. When the user first logs into the MySite they will
need to click on 'make my default' (from memory) in the upper right hand
side
