we have a separate database server which also serve as reporting server, i
remember i had issues with losing credentials before but certainly it wasnt
because of server reboot, i think it was due to deployment error or
something

It was easy to fix. We just added the credentials again. It's just
strange that it lost them. Data connections are just items in a list,
so I can't see why they were gone. Are you using multiple servers in
your farm or a single server configuration?

Yep.
It was all working fine (for over 12 months now) and once the farm got
rebooted, they were gone. I have a feeling it might have something to
do with the order the farm got rebooted (reporting server first, then
the sharepoint server).

I haven't had that problem before, apologise if it's a dumb question but
are you sure you have tested the credentials before and it's not fresh
report definition file?

Not sure if anyone has come across this (or if there's a fix) but we
have a
SharePoint farm using SSRS. The farm got rebooted on the weekend and
when
it came back online, all the Data Connections had lost the credentials
that
were there. Is this a common problem?
