For what it's worth, the best way to learn all about to web client is not to search on "web client" by "webdav mini redirector" instead. Something just occurred to me. You don't have a proxy server configured do you? Are your prod servers set to exclusion for your production workstations? Or going through published ISA? The strange thing with the whole scenario, was that the problem only occurred on our production server using workstations. Using workstations on our extranet or test environments worked fine, and using citrix on production worked fine.
