The problem you'll have is if Rebecca has any files she has modified or
anything like that, she's in there and it's next to impossible to remove
her.

Hi

The weird thing is Rob has a My Site, but it's Rebecca who shows up in
the forms. When I view the people in Site Collection Rob is not there,
and Rebecca is.

As far as I have understood, any 'old' user profiles should be removed
automatically after three full imports have been run.

Yes I know about not deleting users from AD, and it's now common
practice. I imagine that Rebecca was deleted by predecessors who didn't
subscribe to this view.

Is there a way to run a full import via stsadm or other, as I cannot
access the ssp via CA (conflicting database schemas, something I have
been trying to fix for awhile)?

Regards,

Marko

Hi Marko,

This will also affect the My Site creation for which there are some very
basic settings under Mange Personal Sites->Site Naming Conflict that
probably wouldn't have overcome your current issue.

To answer your question: If 'Rebecca' has been removed from AD and is
not in the import list then you should be able to safely delete her from
the site collection and then add 'Robert'.

I'd recommend running a full import again after this. The best method
would be to resolve these in AD by forcing unique names in the first
instance.

As Jon has already said, this is why AD accounts should never be deleted
but disabled instead.

Subject: Username issue

Hi All

I have an interesting issue with a username.

We use to have an employee, Rebecca Whatevername with the username
rwhatevername, she's left and now we have

A new employee Robert Whatevername, and his username is now
rwhatevername.

Problem: When using forms and I do a lookup for Rob, and click ok
Rebecca shows up in the form --> bad.

I went to delete Rebecca from the site collection, but it says it will
delete rwhatevername.

Will it delete Rebecca, Rob, or both?

How would you do it?

Kind Regards,

Marko Salonen
