Alastair, I've seen an article on getting it working in 2008 SP2..
MS have a "Go Live Guarantee" (i think that's it's name) which, from what I've read and remember, means they will assist anyone using 2010 Beta 2 prior to 2010 official release with issues that arise.. If I'm wrong on this I would be very happy to be told so !!
