exact; they are more "complex" in a human sense: require to manage file
permissions, etc...

but other "instant single-file-downloading" networks include Red Swoosh,
Dijjer, Kontiki, possibly Xunlei, and many more.


Yes, but redswoosh, dijjer & others are more on the http caching side,
right? It' seems more like load balancing to me, somewhere between p2p &
http dl.

So there's plenty of competition with BT right now, and it's not at all
certain that BT will come out on top.
