I can't claim to have been around on the good old days, but I'm here. I see p2p things pop up here and there in my consulting work.
I'm hopeful about WebRTC. I used to think that WebRTC was p2p using NAT punching, but apparently that's not exactly correct? What are the options there to get around that? I was excited to see Tuber released recently (https://blog.trailofbits.com/2015/12/15/self-hosted-video-chat-with-tuber/ ) - I think WebRTC video chats are a possible solution to the Skype/Facetime oligarchy and I'm excited to see more decentralized solutions like Tuber built. I'm especially excited to see someone combine it with Signal (in an unofficial capacity in the beginning) to have end-to-end encrypted video calls cross-platform easily. -tom _______________________________________________ p2p-hackers mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zooko.com/mailman/listinfo/p2p-hackers
