You sure they are zombified? What are you using 'zombified' to mean here? You can check for zombified processes with ps aux. Are those httpd processes showing status as Z? I don’t even begin to pretend that I understand the voodoo you guys call “The Web� … HTML along with algebra is the language of the devil. Probably worth learning something about it then, apparently this world wide web thing could get pretty big ;) In my experience slowness in the GUI tends to be database related. I seem to recall there is a section in the admin guide that deals with tuning MySQL for better performance with PF. Do you have a lot of nodes (either registered or unregistered) in your database? I had about 9000 unreg in mine and that made it very slow indeed, so I cleared all the unregistered nodes out of the database (you have to do this using SQL, it can't be done from the GUI). That fixed my issue right away.
