Fabrice, Tried that on the current Ubuntu 12 VM. Same results regarding dependencies. I may have screwed up the system while trying to install other missing pieces. I am building a new VM from scratch and I'll let you know tomorrow.
My install is as follow: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Linux ubu-pf 3.2.0-34-generic #53-Ubuntu SMP Thu Nov 15 10:48:16 UTC 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux Since you mentioned you successfully installed on Ubuntu, did you have any other specifics installed or was it done on a clean Ubuntu install? Did you have other sources activated apart from the one coming by default? Was it a 64 or 32 bit install ?
