I cannot answer for Fabrice, but I recently installed pf 4.0.6 and 4.1 on
Ubuntu 12.04 (fresh new install), with no issues, following the install guide.

I see it's been a year since I tried last to install packetfence on Ubuntu
12.04.
I have picked it up again and get stranded in the same problems.
Have you had some time to try to get it working on a standard installation
of ubunto 10.04 server?
I would love to use this application!
