No problem, pretty much in the same boat as you on this being new to us. We are going to use it to replace Cisco Clean Access.
Anyway, I ran into similar issues pf not getting to the admin gui and though it was flakeing out, and noticed when I started the packetfence service, it always said the http.admin/webservices were "already running" and when I shut pf down, it said http admin/webservices were not running. I couldn't see the processes actually running so I found .pid files in /usr/local/pf/var/run that were still there after pf shutdown. Deleted them and it all started. I think when you shutdown the linux box, it doesn't cleanly shutdown pf. Good luck Will >Hi Will, > > >??? Thanks for the immediate reply.
