So PF is fine ... it seems as though my IP has been blacklisted through 
spamhaus and several other spam list sites.  Well ... looks like I'm off to 
email land to get this fixed.

Hi Jake,
Check if postfix is running.
Also check the output of 'mailq'.
The mail could be rejected or queue somewhere even if your MTA (most likely 
postfix) is still running fine.

That is assuming that PF itself is still sending the emails.
The captive portal sends the emails via 
html/captive-portal/guest-selfregistration.cgi.
You might have to restart the portal if that's what it is.

PF 3.6.1, CentOS 6.4

My PF box has stopped sending the emails for the SMS activation and I think the 
service that sends the emails has stopped.

This pox is in production so I can't simply reboot it without the dreaded "IP 
address not found" errors making my day determinedly worse.

Can someone tell me what service the email portion uses so I can make sure it 
is running?
