Hello all! Issues:
#1: Guest SMS not working My guests were not able to use the SMS auth, they were getting an apache page about a software error. Software Error: Not a HASH reference at /usr/local/pf/lib/pf/web/guest.pm line 189. As of 4.0.5-2, this is now fixed for my system #2: Guest EMail registration When a guest clicked on the link in the email PF sent to them to enable their 24 hour access the user received a 403 Forbidden page. I used the info from the list archives to allow other subnets other than registration subnets to access the portal. This fixes the issue but it is kind of a hack. Here is the link to the email: http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/message.php?msg_id=29684676 This issue is "fixed", but could be borked by an update. A permanent fix for email guest access for vlan deployments should probably be found. My question is; is it necessarily a bad thing that I allowed other subnets to access the portal? If it is not, then it seems an easy fix would be to remove the routed subnets check, but there may be issues with this that I cannot see at this moment. #3: IPTables blocking critical ports When IPTables is running only port 22 seems to be available. For now I am simply shutting down IPTables to work around this. I have setup a testbed that I can use to test patches so I can further troubleshoot this issue. I plan to look into this further in the morning. It was suggested by xenophage to post the output of iptables -L -n -x. I will do this ASAP. #4: Gaming device registration page Users can reach the gaming registration page, fill out the form, and click register. Once they submit the form they are dumped back to the gaming register login page with no feedback. No lines show up in the log even when logging is set to "TRACE". As of now there we do not have a workaround for this and 4.0.5-2 does not solve this issue. I feel I should say that although the growing pains of moving from the 3.X series into the 4.X series have been rather public and seemingly many; I believe that this should be expected. It is my understanding that PFv4 was almost a complete re-rewrite of the core code and modules. If this is true then, as a cracker-jack programmer myself, I find amazing the stability of what is very nearly a 0.X release of software. I would like to say thank you to the community for all of your feedback and especially a sincere thank you to Inverse for being so incredibly responsive in pushing out patches to address our issues and for their continued presence on this list. I look forward to ironing out the issues and contributing in anyway I can to our community. Gentlemen, good evening.
