Sweet! It worked.

I will do some more testing but it seems to work now.

Does anyone have a list of OUIs that work for them for gaming
self-registration? Here is the deal, I have a resident population that has
every device under the sun; smart TVs, BluRay players, etc. If I have to
manually manage the OUI list for all of the products it could become a
nightmare.

This is just a thought, but...would it be a horrendous idea to remove the OUI
check altogether? MACs / Users can still be blocked by violations, etc. so if
they really want to register a nongaming device via the portal I kinda don't
care. My gaming vlan has fewer network permissions that the student vlan so
they are not gaining access, they are losing it.

It is true that I could lose some accuracy in my reports if people start
registering all their devices as gaming boxes, but I can use some MySQL foo to
double check OUIs after the fact.

Am I missing something?

Thank you so much!

/sbin/chkconfig memcached on

I had the same problem. Not sure if the packetfence install starts that
process automatically..

And that didn't work? ;)

There's a list of acceptable OUIs in /usr/local/pf/lib/pf/web/gaming.pm.
It's a relatively short list of about 25 items. It may be that the device
you're registering is not represented in that list.

You can just add a new OUI to the list, restart the portal, and *magic* should
happen.

HEY DEVS : THIS LIST SHOULD BE IN A DATABASE AND HAVE A GUI INTERFACE TO
UPDATE! Just sayin... :)
