Hello All/Fabrice,

I tried to install PF several times now and it always happens to run into the
same error each time.

I tried to pinpoint the SegFault but I don’t have enough experience with perl,
apache internals and the pf internals so I did not come any further to knowing
what causes this.

All I can say is that it seems to occur when it’s trying to load the module
pfappserver.

I would really appreciate if someone could take a look further into this since
we need a working instance of PF in our school.
(Our school is currently participating in a test project regarding WLAN and
proper NAC for schools in Northern Germany.)

Just to repeat:

- Fresh install of Debian 8.5 (Firmware-linux-nonfree, firmware-realtek, sudo)
(altering the choice of additional packets during installation made no
difference)
- Fresh install of PacketFence (deb
http://inverse.ca/downloads/PacketFence/debian jessie jessie)
- Reboot
- Httpd.admin does not start due to a SegFault (coredump here:
http://pastebin.com/aXRCfw00 )
Reported by “apache2 -e debug -D debian -X -f
/usr/local/pf/var/conf/httpd.conf.d/httpd.admin”
- No related errors found in the logs
- ZEN-Edition works fine when started from USB drive

Since the server did not previously and does not currently have any sensible
data on it, I’m also allowed to offer remote access for diagnosis.

Regards,

Mark L.
