Hello David,

You don’t need to have one of each production network as interface on the 
PacketFence server, install the DHCP sensor on your DHCP server and it will 
send a DHCP copy to PF and PF will know all about the IP / Mac situation on 
your network.

Then for the online offline, send the RADIUS accounting from your switch/ 
wireless controller (Where the clients are connecting from) to PF and for a 
RADIUS Accounting start PF would display Online and for a RADIUS Accounting 
stop it would put it Offline. If it’s unknown it means that it can each not 
process the accounting properly and does not receive it.
