OK, ticket raised and the preference has been added to Padre. It will be in version 0.69 which should be released some time today my time. You will be able to turn of blinking cursors by going to Tools/Preferences and under "behaviour" you will see about 3/4's of the way down a setting for the cursor. To stop it blinking you set it to 0 and save. Any subsequent document will not have a blinking cursor. Peter.
