It appears that I will not have time to finish the Task 2.0
implementation of the slave master feature in time for this weekend.

All the relevant code is sitting behind a constant in
Padre::TaskManager and should all be disabled, so I consider the
current state of the task manager to be safe for release.

It would be nice if the extent to which my other refactoring will
break plugins was more worth it in terms of matching improvements, but
the refacoring is all valid nonetheless. It also won't actually break
the plugins directly I think, but it's an API change to several
classes which means updated $COMPATIBLE versions and some plugins will
need incremental releases if they get disabled as "incompatible" by
the plugin compatibility checks.

So please consider trunk ready to release from my perspective, and
I'll add anything else around the task manager to the next release.
