I'd say let's call it 0.86 but warn people that this might have
various issues as a lot of
change went into this version.

As for the 0.84 being broken, if you, Adam, mean the small window thing

then I think this is only issue for Windows users who install Padre from CPAN.
Those who download the "Padre on Strawberry" get a patched version of Padre.

BTW the ticket is still open.
