Alan: 2 digit years were coded for exactly that reason: save on expensive
hard disk resources. Now it's a problem.

Alan: I, along with lots of customers, will no doubt be using it. I would
still be using my PalmPilot Pro if I didn't need a III for development.
Throw away technology is soon going to meet up with a backlash.

Alan: So perhaps we should learn a lesson from the current Y2K issue and fix
