Ron,
I do understand that the scroll car should go back to its position when the
pendown occurred, if the pen leaves the scroll bar area. But the snap back
behavior happens even when the pen remains in the scroll car rectangle. Try
starting with the scroll car at the bottom and slowly move it up to the
middle. Now without lifting the pen, move a short distance (in the same
direction) very quickly (and do a penUp) and be careful to stay within the
scroll car rectangle. The car will return to the bottom even though the pen
has not left the scroll car rectangle. It would seem more appropriate if it
stayed in the middle where it last got a fix on its location. I have looked at
the source a bit but have not yet isolated the cause.
