I don't think it's an unreasonable question. Everybody knows the java
community has been banging on Palm for years to get a coherent java
development solution. If Palm knows about it, and thinks it looks
promising, then one would naturally wonder if Palm is involved with its
development / considering purchasing it / considering endorsing it /
considering recommending it / considering it at all.

Certainly, but I think folks would be much more interested if Palm sounded
interested. 

Don't get me wrong but this email sounds like it came from someone who's
got a distinct bias against Java or is perhaps hiding some "Big Palm
Secret". At any rate, I thought the original email was fairly innocuous &
straight forward.
