Seems like the first thing your client needs to do is reduce the 10K bytes
to something manageable on a small device. That's a lot of stuff, too much
for a small screen device of any kind, and too much for quick, clean
wireless transmission IMHO. If they're willing to pay for the wireless
time, the only kind of device that I think makes sense is something that
has at least a 1/4 VGA screen as in a (horrors!) WinCE device or a small
laptop like the Toshiba Libretto. Something that might make more sense
would be a Nokia 1000i smart phone. but they're expensive. Any screen
smaller than that, with that much data, and that many items, just doesn't
make sense.
There was a thread on the PQA forum last week about compression technology.
That might be applicable.
