Ah, now I understand what you're trying to do.  I have to say I don't
think it will be very successful though.  My experience is: I just
discovered yesterday (due to this thread in the mailing list) that one
of my apps (Unc) is also up on the warez site.  Mine was cracked; it's
listed in their palmpass.crk file.  So they figured out what
instructions to patch to jump around my checking code.  The interesting
thing is, they have a crack for version 1.2 listed.  I just released
version 1.2 about three days before I saw the crack listed.  Apparently
these guys have this down to a science.  Did you look at their
"PalmPatch" program?  It makes it extremely easy for a non-knowlegable
user to patch any program that's listed in the .crk file; nice GUI front
end, push a "Patch" button and it's done.  Sigh.
