C is a great language!
( I like it 1000 times better than C++ ) It is a great tool for certain
jobs.
C++/Java is a hack on top of C.
The VM for pocketST is written in C.
If you want to whip up applications with complex user interfaces/domain
information
it makes more sense to do it in a language that allows you to concentrate on
the design
of the app an not the language.
P.S.
If you are ever interested in how VM's work PocketST is a real simple one to
follow and it
is open source.
Check it out.
