I think this is pretty much a matter of perspective. When I was young, I
bought a book called "Auto Repair for Dummies". It demystified a topic
that I was deeply interested in and unleashed a lifetime of enjoyment for
me. I still have it and I still refer to it. Sometimes I just sit and
read it.
On the other hand, my mother-in-law recently inherited a laptop computer
with Windows95. I rushed out and got her "Windows95 for Dummies". She
took one look and said, "I am *not* a Dummy!" She has never touched the
book or the computer since.
I guess my point is that if you really can't stand the thought of a book
title "Palm Programming for Dummies", then don't buy it.

is available from Amazon.com. It's by Donna Sclar, who is of no relation
to me whatever - I just loved her book.
