1. CategoryTruncateName always uses stdFont to measure the text, versus the
current drawing font.

2. It also limits the name to be at most dmCategoryLength bytes long.

3. It modifies the passed string in place.

Since these three limitations are often undesirable for drawing a truncated
string, a new routine was added.
