Alastair,

That's not a good hueristic to use. And if I'd seen the earlier article that
you're referring to, I'd've said so then, too. There's nothing that says the
user name is empty under Poser. Similarly, I don't think there's anything that
says it's not on the device (though I'm less sure about that one).

At any rate, the right advice to follow is that which I posted earlier today.

Hi Gary,

You could try looking at the username.  Inside the emulator, the username is
empty.  There's an article from a couple of days ago on how to get the
username and check if it's emulator - if you can't find it give me a shout
and I'll dig it out again.
